A group of 32 high school juniors and seniors ventured north last month for an eye-opening experience visiting colleges and universities.
The Fulfillment Fund's annual Northern California college trip is a six-day overnight experience open to high school juniors and seniors.
Students visited 10 colleges and universities and had the opportunity to tour the campuses, hear admissions presentations, get a feel for college life and in some cases, spend the night on campus hosted by current college students!
Here is what students had to say:
"This experience impacted me and gave me a chance to question the admissions process and know what schools are looking for in a student. It gave me an idea of how to start off and what to include in my personal statement." -Connie, junior, Venice High School
"My favorite memory from this trip is meeting new people from different schools in LA. I now know that the right college isn't about the name, but what it has to offer us in order to succeed." -Joanna, junior, Gertz-Ressler High School
"Seeing these colleges has made me want to attend college not because I have to, but because I want to." -Erick, junior, New Designs Charter High School
